England loose the toss West Indies BowlAfter getting a great start this morning, Strauss got out early after the interval, followed closely by his Middlesex team mate Oais Shah.

The West Indian bowlers didn’t make the most of the conditions this morning, but it looks like they have come out after lunch all fired up and ready top go.

Will any other new guys impress today? Looks like Prior may have an opportunity to shine later in the innings. Will he take it though?!

England vs. West Indies - wicket being rolled
The pitch at Lords will be green and conditions overcast. So whoever wins the toss will almost certainly bowl and be successful.

Hoggard will swing the ball all over the place and Harmison will be able to get movement off the wicket and seem.

If I were Peter Moores I would drop Panesar and bring in Plunkett to go for a 4 seam attack with the option of Collingwood as a 5th bowler.

Mark RamprakashMark Ramprakash adds to Sussex woes as he gets his 91st first class century. Will he get to 100 first class centuries the end of this season? It will be a huge task, but only a foolish man will bet against him in the current form he is in.

He has been superbly supported by his captain, Mark Butcher.

The pair of ex-England batsmen represents the last of the “old guard” of English batsmen that have been overtaken by the likes of Andrew Strauss and Ian Bell.

Middlesex Twenty 20 Breakthrough Breast Cancer StripMiddlesex will be wearing a pink strip in their twenty 20 campaign this summer, to highlight their link with a Breast Cancer charity named “Breakthrough Breast Cancer”.

This is an extension from the limited edition cricket batting grip used by Matthey Hayden, Phil Symonds and England’s Paul Collingwood in the World Cup.

Kabir Ali

Worcestershire captain, Kabir Ali leads from the front with a career best: 8 wickets for 50 runs against a depleted Lancashire side, minus their England stars.

He then went on to get 54 runs to steer his side into a 3 run overnight lead, with 6 wickets on hand.

He failed to impress on the international scene, although most say he wasn’t given a fair crack of the whip.
