Squash Ball Controversy
This discussion is outside the realm of Knights in Whites – but this debate is getting increased coverage across the world – is the squash ball illegal? No.
There is no doubt that Adam Gilchrist is one of the best batsman in the world and in my view even without the squash ball he would still be one of the best.
Is it unfair and unsportsman-like though? I don’t think so. It is another classic case of how technically evolved cricket is getting and it can only be categorised the same as the 12th man rule and how that was used, how England/Vaughan used it during The Ashes.
The fact is, Australia are the best team in the world because they think outside the box. Not because of a squash ball.

I think you’ll find it was half a squash ball!
